This License Agreement describes what you can and cannot do with content generated using Univers Studio tools. We designed it to be clear and KDP-friendly.

2. What You CAN Do (Paid Plans)
Allowed Uses
- Publish on Amazon KDP — use generated pages as interior content in coloring books, activity books, or any print-on-demand book
- Sell on IngramSpark, Lulu, Blurb — same rights as KDP, any print-on-demand platform
- Sell digital downloads — sell PDF coloring books on Etsy, Gumroad, your own website, etc.
- Include in physical products — puzzles, greeting cards, stickers, posters, merchandise
- Use in teaching materials — worksheets, classroom handouts, educational content
- Modify and adapt — crop, resize, combine, add text, rearrange — no restrictions on modification
- Unlimited print runs — no cap on the number of copies sold or printed
- Worldwide rights — use anywhere in the world, in any language
- Perpetual license — content you generated while subscribed remains licensed forever, even after cancellation
3. What You CANNOT Do
Prohibited Uses
- Resell raw files as-is — you cannot sell or distribute the PNG/SVG/PDF files in their raw generated form (e.g., selling a ZIP of unmodified coloring pages)
- Redistribute the tool — you cannot copy, mirror, rebrand, or white-label the Univers Studio platform itself
- Claim algorithmic ownership — you cannot claim the generation technology or algorithms as your own creation
- Share account access — each license is tied to one account, one person
- Sub-license generation rights — you cannot let others generate content using your account or credits
- Use for illegal content — no hateful, defamatory, or illegal content
- Train AI models — you may not use Generated Content to train, fine-tune, or improve any machine learning or artificial intelligence system
4. For Amazon KDP Publishers
KDP-Compatible LicenseThis license is designed to be fully compatible with Amazon KDP's content policies. You have a royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide right to use generated content in print-on-demand books.
4.1 Originality guarantee
Each generation produces a unique output based on your specific input image and settings. The algorithms apply computer vision transformations (edge detection, color quantization, contour tracing) to your source image — they do not copy or remix existing artwork.
Your responsibility: you must ensure that the source image you upload does not infringe on third-party copyrights. If you upload your own photo, illustration, or AI-generated image, the output is original to your input.
4.2 No takedown risk from us
Univers Studio will never file a copyright claim or takedown request against content you generated using our tools while on a paid plan. Your generated content is yours.
4.3 Proof of license
If Amazon or any platform requests proof that you have the right to use the content, you can:
- Point them to this license page at univers.studio/license/
- Provide your account email and subscription confirmation
- Contact us at hello@univers.studio and we will issue a written confirmation within 48 hours
5. Free Plan Limitations
Content generated on the free plan (3 credits/month, no account) is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. You may print it at home or in a classroom, but you may not sell it or include it in commercial products.
To unlock commercial rights, subscribe to any paid plan.
6. AI-Generated Images
Images created with the AI Image Generator tool use AI models to produce new images from text prompts. These images are:
- Generated uniquely for each prompt
- Not sourced from any existing image database
- Licensed to you under the same terms as other tools (commercial use on paid plans)
Note: AI-generated images may occasionally resemble existing styles or compositions. You are responsible for reviewing the output before commercial use.
7. Cancellation and Perpetual Rights
If you cancel your subscription:
- You keep full commercial rights to all content generated while your subscription was active
- You can no longer generate new content beyond the free tier
- Books already published with generated content can remain on sale indefinitely
8. Indemnification
You are responsible for ensuring that your source images do not infringe on third-party rights. Univers Studio is not liable for claims arising from content you generated using images you do not own or have rights to.
9. Changes to This License
We may update this license. Changes apply only to content generated after the update date. Content generated under a previous version of the license remains governed by that version.
